Two scaffolders from Midland Scaffolding Services, who are based in Northampton, are taking part in a 50-Mile Ultra-Marathon to raise money for the Caudwell Children Charity.

Dedicated scaffolders, Ben and Jordan, will be running non-stop from Birmingham to Northampton, in an ambitious 9 to 10-hour challenge, to raise funds for Poppy, the daughter of Gary Rouse, one of their longest-serving team members at Midland Scaffolding Services for over 25 years.

Poppy was born in December 2024 with Down Syndrome and Tetralogy of Fallot (TOF), a serious heart condition which affects how the heart works and how blood flows through it. Poppy has already endured multiple hospital stays and now relies on a feeding tube as she awaits surgery.

Through her family's immense strength, Midland Scaffolding Services wants to show theirs in return, so on 19th September, Ben and Jordan will begin their journey on a non-stop 50-mile run, fuelled passionately by this deeply personal cause. To support Poppy and other children like her, funds that are raised will be donated to Caudwell Children, a UK charity that provides life-changing support for disabled and seriously ill children and their families.

Midlands Scaffolding Services would love for you to get involved and support the cause anyway you can. If you would like to support Ben and Jordan and meet them at the finish line, or would like to donate, please see the details below:
